25-31 May 2013 : didgeridoo meditation retreat

The Didgeridoo is a long wooden wind instrument of the Australian aborigines. It is made out of branches of the eucalyptus tree and produces low frequency earth sounds.
Sound is a great tool to put our mind at rest whether it be drumming, chanting, reciting mantras etc...
Listening to the didgeridoo has a calming and relaxing effect on body and mind. In the aboriginal culture didgeridoo was played near sick people to help them heal and there is sufficient evidence that the low vibrations of the didgeridoo have a soothing and healing influence on the body.
Jacco Fransen who lives and works in Hilversum, Netherlands, is a musician and proficient didgeridoo player and has been leading meditation workshops since many years.
Through this meditation balance can be restored on a mental level as well as on a physical level.
From 25-31 May 2013, Jacco will be leading daily meditation with the didgeridoo.

Lavendel fields.....'forever' aganst the background of the Grand canyon du Verdon. The lavender is in bloom from June to August after which it is harvested for use in parfumes and soaps.
the light came through the window, straight from the sun above,
and so inside my little room, there plunged a ray of love

In one month time the almond flowers turned into small almondfruits. In August they are full grown and ready for collecting.
The azure blue mediteranean sea with cities like Nice, Cannes, Juan les Pins, Antibes, St Tropez, St Rafael are about one hour by car from Bargemon. The rocky coastline in between the cities offers adventurous and fabulous walks along the sea. Most of the cities organize art- and music festivals during the summer. San Juan Jazz festival is one of the traditional ones.
About Yoga
"Union of the physical and the spiritual" is one way of defining Yoga. It is the art of relaxing the body and silencing the mind to open ourselves to the universal energy in and around us. It is a way of life in which the body and the natural world are experienced as an expression of the Divine. We honour and respect the Divine by respecting our body and the world around us, through awareness of our breath, thoughts and body.
At the core of the many different kinds of Yoga is awareness and mastery of our vital energy to live a healthy, peaceful and joyful life.
The practice of pranayama (breathing exercises), asanas (postures), relaxation and meditation maintains or regains flexibility of the body allowing a free flow of vital energy (prana, qi or light), in harmony with the world around us.
Yoga is a gentle way of moving the body which is suitable for all ages.
