Early morning visitor: lacewing. We welcome the lacewing because it plays an important role in the control of the olive fly, a fly that can cause problems for the olive growers like us.
St John's wort, Hypericum perforatum, is another medicinal herb growing wild in the region and flowering June-July.
Externally used as inflammatory, suitable for burns, wounds and joint problems.
Taken internally it helps with depression, anxiety and sleeping disorder.

'Immortelles' in Latin Helicrysum (Golden Sun), a medicinal herb growing wild here in our region and in full flower this time of the year. The essential oil of the immortelles flowers has multiple health benifits like anti-hematic, anti-inflammatory, cicatrisante etc... it can be used in the kitchen to add curry flavour to dishes.
