Salad from our garden. Arugula, mesclun, nasturtiums and violets with a sprinkling of lentil sprouts! Does it get any better?

A few weeks ago we started our vegetable garden. With lots af sun and a fair amount of rain it is doing great. Even though we're novices at gardening, we had a good initiation for our start-up in April when our daughter was here. Love and gratitude. Hers was a "busgirl's holiday" you might say. She is usually at play in the fields of www.greenstringfarm.com in California.

She also introduced us to the new hex-hive for bees. But more about that one in a hext - I mean next - blogspot. A plus!
